Formative painting – the creed of Manuela Kreibig-Wentzel

The idea: a painting is not an autonomous unit but rather a component of an overall work e.g. home interior.

Accordingly, a painting may not contradict this but is rather a part of the overall atmosphere. Only then can a uniform entity arise, in which the person attains peace and inner balance.

There are two approaches: a painting is integrated into an existing environment in terms of size, structure and colour so that the unit is not lost but rather emphasised and reinforced. In the reverse case, the paintings are an orientation point for further design aspects in the immediate vicinity. The "formative" painting is thus an essential part of interior architectural oeuvre.
